The New Jersey Devils hosted their inaugural Friends & Family Paint and Skate on Friday and it transformed the ice surface in Prudential Center.
Devils Season Ticket Holders were invited to paint personal messages on the ice at the Rock, skate in AmeriHealth Pavilion and participate in family activities throughout the concourse. Those included face painting, balloon art, inflatables and crafts.
Over 600 fans took part in the event, which produced a multicolored canvas that covered the arena’s the ice surface.
North Jersey Phoenix attended the Devils event and ambitiously took the ice to paint the Phoenix logo free-hand. Involved was goalie #31 Lauren Solski, Jennifer Hood and Defense Coach Charlie Hood. A few cans of paint and 30 minutes later the job was done.
